Vernons Bingo – It’s a Dog’s Life!

NetPlay TV had ambitious plans to re-launch their Vernons Bingo brand, with creative developed by their in house team.

NetPlay TV had ambitious plans to re-launch their Vernons Bingo brand, with creative developed by their in house team. Our challenge was to make it all happen, but budget was tight and the casting was very specific – they needed a Pug to be the star.

Working with animals doesn’t need to be difficult, if you get the right animals and trainer. Sonia at Stunt Dogs had provided Dodger the dog for our Harveys commercials, so we knew we were in good hands. This time she brought along Sonny the pug, to play the part of “Stan”. Sonny soon had the crew’s affections and those of our clients Sarah and Sophie from NetPlay TV.

Sonny was entirely professional throughout the shoot, even when put in the bath wearing a pink shower cap. Director Mark Lediard and DoP Mike Caine both agreed he was miles easier to work with than many of the human actors they had pointed a camera at in the past.
